...there's a lot to 'getting out of the usual routine',battening down the 'hatches' so to speak, packing your bags...and 'heading out onto the open (?) road:)....please pray for us on saturday....we are off to the fantastic and fabled 'santa cruz'.....
reports from the adventure when I return,unless I 'spy a keyboard' :)
....oh yes, preparing for the trip 'in spades' ...................
Lovely weather.....am continuing preparations for our trip......amazing what you can do when trying to 'sorta spruce up' for a trip.....
I will miss my cats.......my neighbor girls and their Mom will come over twice a day...the weather is supposed to be fairly warm....this house all closed up can get quite warm.....however,the cats choose to afternoon-nap in the hottest part of the house even during the hottest days.....so I guess once again....the advice to 'not worry' applies....
....talked to Michelle tonight on the phone....sort of got a better picture of how she is doing......school started with a bang...books to be read, papers, two hour presentation...etc.......back to the books it is...
I miss her,I wish I could help her more....
..I have some email friends in Bombay, India and when I heard about the bombing today I was concerned and saddened...
Lately, these terrorist bombings have really 'been touching my heart'.....when I saw the little children killed in the last Jerusalem bus bombing I found myself crying.....
...My prayer is for God to touch all the injured, all the ones who mourn, all who are depressed and deeply wounded and saddened by the terrible times in which they live...may God send angels to touch and comfort the sorrowing, and may the Father draw all men to His Loving Arms.....how well they would be able to relate to Jesus who was so-wounded,in terrible pain, and knew death. Thank you Father, thank you Jesus, and thank you for sending the comforting wonderful Holy Spirit.......
...quite a sermon today:the topic was Jonah and God's concern for the people of Nineveh....using a taped interview, live skit and short sermon ...the pastor hit hard on NOT being prejudiced!... I mean,he didn't 'beat around the bush'...I said "amen" outloud! a couple times:)
