walked the mt angel 10k volkswalk today...lovely day for walking...after we walked,we ate at the 'octoberfest',and you know what kind of food that is!
continuing with this weeks' sad topic,saw an excellent docu on cnn about the newsroom and behind the scenes 9-11......saw footage I had never seen before...the horror,and scope of the event is really beyond the minds' imagination....I am sobered by this weeks' remembrance and definitely cannot face this subject without prayer.
happy family news,inlaws back from wedding....they had a great time....
sad world news,two more soldiers killed in iraq,8 iraqi police accidentally killed by our friendly fire,ozone hole bigger than ever,israel/palestine very bad situation..johnny cash dies,and john ritter..john ritter was so young and healthy!(looking)...oh sad.....

...one of my daughters' friends left her an old ibm thinkpad laptop with win 98 on it and she gave it to me when she took 'the good dell'...and since I have been using an old win 95 as a 'glorified radio' I thought maybe it would be fun...but decided a dial-up would be really a bummer after using broadband...today I got it out and it worked fairly well on dial-up,I was surprised....then I found that it had an ethernet card in it and a cable hookup...hey.....so I had a fun day....really for some things,these old machines are amazing....
..oh wow,I have a link from my google bar to blogger ...kewl...wish I had a 'comments box'....
maybe the new upgrade will have one.....
....we had a great church time today....just extra good singing,worshipping.....and they had this one song where a young man (about 12-13) danced beautifully to the worship song.....it really 'touched me' and I had tears in my eyes...
